Speed Retouch Video

I made a new youtube account, mostly because my old one had the “inc” in its name, which I don’t like. So now my new is called “conceptualvisions”, which is close enough :)

Made my first post out of a series of posts I’m gonna put up on restoration, retouch and more. In the speed painting style. Enjoy

Conceptual Vision dot Com

Just playing around with a gas mask. You never know when you’re in need of a gas mask. My personal experience with a gas mask was way back when, the time and date has eluded me, evaporated in the time space continuum, never too be seen again. It was in the Navy though and I had to rip the gas mask of inside a gas chamber filled with this horrible gas, and then see how long I managed too stay in there before “passing” out, while giving the captain my serial number, name and rank. When you couldn’t stand it anymore you had to get out and run while you still were choking from the gas. The gas was stuck too your face, and you could only run it off, not touch it.

Distraction Removal

Here’s another example of distraction removal, and how much difference changing the background can make. Again, as I’ve pointed out before, the eyes quickly move to the flowers under the mans legs, but also towards the noisy background. After fixing the problem, the eyes stays on the couple, as intended.

Retouching face and color correction

In this image, the “before” image is actually the better one, in my opinion. It’s how kids should be. Face covered with pencil lines, while the paper is left white. Though, the kid’s mother wanted to remove it. I also adjusted the color channels and removed the blurred out paper in the background to make the image more focused on the kid, and not let the eyes wander off too the background.
